Emergency CallWorx® Selected by Moore County, Tennessee to Deploy Next Generation E9-1-1 and Dispatching Solution
Another Tennessee County to Benefit from Easy-to-Use Browser Based Design
Madison, AL, May 29, 2009 - Emergency CallWorx (ECX) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Moore County, Tennessee to provide an integrated, multi-agency Next Generation E9-1-1, Mapping and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
Moore County officials were seeking a fully integrated solution for Next Generation 9-1-1 calltaking, mapping and dispatching of resources to replace three existing, but disparate, legacy systems. NG9-1-1 standards necessitate far greater integration between 9-1-1 telephony, Mapping and CAD than previous standards. The ECX solution was developed using the latest Web 2.0 architecture and has combined those three traditionally disparate technologies into one Linux and Java based platform. By providing a single platform that tightly manages all these processes, ECX improves and simplifies the administration of the E9-1-1 calls and the workflow required of operators to quickly and effectively dispatch the appropriate response.
"In this economic downturn, budgets have been affected throughout most county and city municipalities," stated Metro Moore County 911 Board. "We were pleasantly surprised to find that we could purchase a VoIP-based, NG9-1-1 complete solution that supports our needs for years going forward while staying well within our budgetary expectations. We look forward to a long lasting and rewarding partnership with Emergency CallWorx."
The county receives on average 4,000 calls for service per year and responds to about 1500 incidents. Moore County is located about 75 miles southeast of Nashville, Tennessee and is home to the city of Lynchburg, best known as the location of the Jack Daniel's distillery. Simplicity of workflow is ECX's primary design goal, understanding full well that small PSAPs employ highly technical individuals who are spread thin supporting everything from networking to phone systems to radios; often participating as the call taker, dispatcher and central radio controller.
"We are pleased that Moore County has selected the ECX Next Generation solution," stated Craig Dollar, founder and CEO of Emergency CallWorx. "Our seamless, browser-based solution utilizing VoIP technology will provide Moore County with the assurance of enhanced response times to emergency situations through unparalleled access to critical information and streamlined operational efficiencies."
